The Betty Lafer Nursery School of Unibes attends 200 children from the age of 2 to 6 years and 11 months full-time, aiming for socio-cultural and educational development.
Our mission is to support the community in general by means of the social promotion of children and teenagers, developing their full social integration and sense of citizenship, this being possible because we believe in solidarity of our partners who, when exercising this feeling, strengthen our work and journey .
That is why words become insignificant to thank you for the donation of the rubber floor for the courtyard of the Betty Lafer Nursery School, providing a happy, comfortable, imaginative space where the children can play.  In fact, all of those who donate their time, skills, resources, company, patience and love make the world a better place. The Casa da Criança project gathers whatever one can and has for those who can´t and don´t have!
Your participation gave new life to all of those already involved, a role model to all of those watching and an invitation to those who never thought of participating. Patrícia Chalaça, founder and president of the Casa da Criança Project, is helping us rediscover that together we can do more and better. Voluntarily, but in a competent manner, we can alter reality in a positive fashion!
Until today, in only three years, two thousand children. Imagine the consequences of this action! It is almost impossible to predict the outcome, in macro reality, social and in micro reality, individual. Today we know that those who participated, such as yourself, will never be the same and that you made a huge difference. That is why we are here to thank you!
When you are celebrating Christmas at the end of 2002 with your family and friends, remember that you are part of those people who are changing the world and smile! Let yourself be filled with the happiness of participating, of accomplishing, voluntarily, spontaneously. And as your heart will be happy, others will also be happy too because they also took action or because they were the aim of that action!

The floor looks wonderful and it is moving to see the children jumping with joy and lining up to play on the toys without the risk of getting hurt with any kind of fall.
